Project X Promotions Powers Into 10th Season with Bounty Hunters No-Prep Nationals!

ODESSA, TEXAS — February 14, 2025 – Project X Promotions is proud to announce the kickoff of its landmark 10th season of adrenaline-pumping racing with the highly anticipated 9th Annual Bounty Hunters No-Prep Nationals, March 21-22, 2025, at the legendary Penwell Knights Raceway in Odessa, Texas. Hosted by the dynamic husband-and-wife duo, Matt and Mady Plotkin, and Jason Flores of Project X Promotions! As a staple in the no-prep racing scene, this event is set to deliver one of the most electrifying weekends to begin the 2025 drag racing season.

Bounty Hunters No Prep Nationals is a can't-miss annual event for racers and fans alike. Spectators can expect intense action, high-speed thrills, and a celebration of the unique spirit of no-prep racing. This is the fifth time returning to Penwell Knights Raceway, a track that holds decades of racing history and offers an atmosphere like no other. The facility, led by Gary Gardenhire, has become a beloved home for racers and fans from across the nation.

Penwell Knights Raceway, which has been making history since opening in 1966, is a track with rich heritage and a family-friendly environment that can’t be matched. Gary Gardenhire has worked tirelessly to continuously improve the facility, ensuring racers have a top-tier experience. “We welcome everyone like family,” says Gardenhire. “We’re ready to continue make history together with all of our incredible supporters.”

The 9th Annual Bounty Hunters No-Prep Nationals will feature Small Tire racers from around the country battling it out for $15,000 in total purse money during Saturday’s class. Over 20 of the fastest Small Tire No Prep cars in the south are anticipated to be in attendance, all fighting for their piece of the prize. Small Tire will also feature a second chance race, aimed at giving first round losers of the main event a free chance to race for a $2,500 purse.

This year’s event also features a partnership with Michael Poland, Jimmy Dale Racing, and Nitrous Express, bringing one of the hottest and fastest-growing classes in drag racing: Lil Gangstas. This class will see racers battling it out for a massive $6,500 prize on Saturday.

But that’s just the beginning. Friday’s schedule includes several thrilling races, such as the Small Tire and Lil Gangstas Cash Days, Daily Driver, King of the Tailgate, and Weekend Warrior competitions. Saturday promises even more action-packed excitement, with the features listed above plus Big Tire, True Street, 6.0 and 7.0 Index, Full-Size Truck, and Junior Dragsters.
